We are having our first baby 🫶🏾🤎

When I found out we were pregnant! At first, I didn’t know how to feel; I was definitely more sad and scared than happy. I’ve always dreamed of being a mom one day, but I imagined it happening under different circumstances. Being unmarried and still on my journey to becoming fully established stirred up worries in my mind about how others might perceive me, how my family might react, and if I was ready to take on the responsibility.

But as I reflected, I remembered that GOD is ALWAYS in control. HE doesn’t make mistakes, and HE didn’t create me to live in fear. I am blessed beyond measure to have an amazing boyfriend, family and friends by my side, who supports and encourages me. With GOD’s grace and mercy guiding us, I am filled with hope and determination to nurture and raise our daughter to the best of my ability, surrounded by so much love. The countdown is getting real y’all, so excuse my flood of emotions lol!

We can’t wait to meet you Juju. Mommy love you so very much!🥹🤰🏽🫶🏾

... Read moreFinding out about pregnancy can evoke a whirlwind of emotions, especially for first-time parents. Many individuals experience a mix of joy, fear, and uncertainty, similar to what Brionna expressed in her beautiful reflection. It's essential to understand that these feelings are entirely normal. Support systems make a significant difference in navigating this journey; family, friends, and partners play crucial roles. As you prepare for parenthood, consider joining parenting communities or forums online to seek advice, share experiences, and build connections with others in similar situations. From dealing with pregnancy cravings to understanding baby milestones, having a supportive network can make the transition smoother. Additionally, it's vital to prioritize self-care during this time. Taking time for yourself, practicing mindfulness, and seeking professional guidance when feeling overwhelmed can all contribute to a healthier mental state for both parents. Finally, remember that the adventure of parenthood is unique for everyone; embrace the challenges and cherish the joyful moments with your little one on the way.
