Cajun seafood boil

🛒 Ingredients

• 2 lbs large shrimp, shell-on (or peeled if preferred)

• 1 lb smoked sausage (andouille or beef), sliced

• 1 lb baby potatoes

• 3–4 ears corn, cut into chunks

• 6 boiled eggs, peeled

• 1 stick unsalted butter

• 4 cloves garlic, minced

• 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

• 1 tbsp Old Bay

• 1 tsp paprika

• ½–1 tsp cayenne pepper (to taste)

• 1 tsp lemon pepper

• 1 tsp onion powder

• 1 tsp garlic powder

• ½ tsp black pepper

• Juice of 1 lemon

• Optional: splash of seafood boil liquid or hot sauce

🍳 Instructions

1. Boil the base

• In a large pot, boil salted water.

• Add potatoes first; cook ~10–12 minutes until almost tender.

• Add corn and sausage; boil another 5 minutes.

• Add shrimp last; cook 2–3 minutes until pink.

• Drain everything well.

2. Make the sauce

• Melt butter in a pan over low heat.

• Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds.

• Stir in Cajun seasoning, Old Bay, paprika, cayenne, lemon pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper.

• Add lemon juice (and seafood boil liquid if using). Stir until glossy.

3. Combine

• Add shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes, and eggs into a large foil pan.

• Pour sauce over everything.

• Toss gently until fully coated.

4. Finish

• Optional: bake at 375°F for 10–15 minutes for extra flavor soak.

• Or serve immediately while hot and saucy.
