PREGNANCY MILESTONES TO CELEBRATE 🤰🏼

Pregnancy is no doubt tough but throughout this I found it was important to remember that I would only have this experience a small amount of times in my life!

I wanted to remind everyone how many exciting and happy things there are all throughout pregnancy in good times and bad 😊

... Read morePregnancy is truly a rollercoaster, isn't it? As I went through my own journey, I realized how important it was to pause and celebrate the incredible milestones along the way. Even when things felt tough, focusing on these happy moments helped me embrace the experience. If you're looking for a week-by-week or stage-by-stage overview of what to look forward to, I'm excited to share my personal guide to celebrating each part of this amazing transformation. Early Pregnancy: The First Trimester (Approx. Weeks 1-12) Oh, early pregnancy! It's often a mix of excitement and, let's be honest, nausea. The first major milestone for me was definitely that positive pregnancy test – a moment of pure disbelief and joy! Soon after, the first prenatal appointment came, filled with questions and reassurance. Nothing compares to the first time you get to hear your baby's heartbeat; it's an instant connection. And then, the magic of seeing your baby on an ultrasound for the first time, even if they look like a tiny bean, is truly unforgettable. Deciding when and how to start telling friends & family was another fun milestone, watching their reactions was priceless! And yes, dealing with those infamous cravings (or aversions!) became a daily adventure. I found that even though morning sickness sometimes made things hard, these early celebrations kept my spirits high. Mid-Pregnancy: The Second Trimester (Approx. Weeks 13-27) Ah, the second trimester – often called the 'golden period' for a reason! For many, like me, reaching the second trimester meant a significant drop in morning sickness, which felt like a huge celebration in itself! This stage is often when you can find out the sex of your baby, if you choose to. That big reveal was such a thrilling moment, helping us start to imagine who this little person would be. But perhaps the most incredible milestone was feeling your baby move for the first time. Those initial flutters, feeling like butterflies, slowly turn into definite kicks! And the joy multiplies when your partner feels baby move too – it truly made us feel like a team, deepening our bond with our growing little one. We spent a lot of this time thinking about names and starting to plan for the nursery. Late Pregnancy: The Third Trimester (Approx. Weeks 28-40+) The final stretch! Reaching the final trimester brings a whole new set of emotions – a mix of increasing anticipation and a bit of physical discomfort. But there are still so many wonderful things to celebrate! My baby shower was such a heartwarming event, feeling all the love and support from friends and family. Then came the nesting phase, which for me meant endless hours of nursery decorating. Picking out tiny clothes, arranging furniture, and making the space just perfect felt like a final act of preparation. And of course, the ultimate goal, the biggest milestone of all: meeting baby! That moment when you finally hold your little one in your arms makes every single tough moment of pregnancy worth it. My advice? Embrace every single milestone, big or small, because your pregnancy journey, tough as it may be, is a precious, once-in-a-lifetime experience filled with countless reasons to celebrate.
