You'll find everything from spices to textiles, and it’s a fantastic place to pick up gifts. I even found a stunning gold-colored headpiece with chains and coins that made me feel like royalty! For those looking for a slightly different vibe, Abu Dhabi also offers incredible experiences. While my focus was mostly on Dubai this trip, the journey between the two cities is seamless, and places like the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque are absolutely stunning and worth the visit. Here are a few practical tips from my trip to help you plan yours: Best Time to Visit: I found that late autumn to early spring (November to March) offers the most pleasant weather, avoiding the peak summer heat. What to Wear: While Dubai is modern, showing respect for local culture is key. I often wore a black face mask and a keffiyeh, especially when visiting more traditional areas or the desert. Pack light, breathable clothing, but also bring something to cover your shoulders and knees. Getting Around: Taxis are readily available and affordable, and the Dubai Metro is super efficient for getting to main attractions.
