Spinach dip

I made homemade spinach dip! It’s so good and the house seems to enjoy it! The recipe is below! ⬇️

Ingredients

• spinach- I used frozen .

• cream cheese - 2 blocks

•sour cream- I didn’t measure just half the container in 🤷🏾‍♀️😅

• shredded cheese ( I used the Italian blend)

•minced garlic

•seasonings you tend to like

Directions

- Preheat oven to 375

1. Sauté spinach with minced garlic in a skillet

2. Combine your cream cheese and sour cream till smooth.

3. Add your spinach to the bowl with cream cheese and spinach.

4. Season to your liking. I used the Blend from Kinders and Badia seasoning.

5. Add your cheese and fold it in. Sprinkle cheese on top if you like.

6. Add your dip to a baking dish and set in the oven to bake for 25 mins.

Using frozen spinach makes it super convenient and easy to prepare without the hassle of washing and chopping fresh greens. I usually make sure to squeeze out any excess water from the sautéed spinach before mixing it in to prevent the dip from becoming too watery. One tip I've found helpful is balancing the creaminess by adjusting the amount of sour cream and cream cheese you use; this recipe’s freedom to eyeball the sour cream is great if you want a thicker or lighter texture. Adding minced garlic adds that irresistible flavor punch, and using an Italian cheese blend brings a great melty, savory quality. For seasoning, I love to use a mix of Kinders and Badia spices as it enhances the dip just enough without overpowering the spinach. Baking the dip at 375 degrees for about 25 minutes helps it develop a delicious golden top, and I sometimes like to sprinkle a little extra cheese halfway through baking to get that bubbly, crispy cheese crust. This dip pairs perfectly with crispy pita chips, fresh vegetable sticks, or even toasted baguette slices. Making this spinach dip has become a go-to recipe for me, especially during summer get-togethers or game day parties.
