✨Newborn Hospital Outfit✨

These are my baby coming home options !! What do we think??

💭 The bottom right is my fav but it doesn’t come in premie and I make really small babies so I think the other one may be what we go with 💗🥹

💭 The bracelet will have her name on it (just for photos ).

💭 The name sign isn’t her name but the style sign I’m thinking!!

💭 Which fit is your fav if she were to fit in both???

... Read moreDeciding on that perfect coming home outfit for your little one is such a special milestone during pregnancy! I've been pouring over options, like that adorable pink ribbed romper with the cream bow headband and fuzzy booties, and the sweet pink gingham romper with white bow headband and knitted booties I've shown. But beyond just cuteness, there's quite a bit to consider when choosing hospital outfits for newborns to ensure they're comfy and safe for their grand debut. When you're thinking about what do newborns wear in hospital for their trip home, comfort is key. Opt for soft, breathable fabrics like cotton that won't irritate their delicate skin. Look for outfits that are easy to get on and off, especially when you're still navigating those first diaper changes and potentially sleepy post-delivery moments. Zippers or snaps are often easier than a multitude of buttons. Remember, a newborn's temperature regulation isn't fully developed, so layering is a great strategy. A simple onesie under a sleeper or a little outfit, paired with a hat and socks or booties (like those cute knitted booties!), is usually perfect. Even if it's warm outside, a lightweight hat can help keep their head warm initially. Packing your newborn clothes for hospital bag involves more than just the coming home outfit. You'll likely want a few other essentials. I'm planning to pack a couple of basic bodysuits or onesies, perhaps a simple sleeper, and extra hats and socks. Accidents happen, and it's always good to have a backup! Consider the season you're due: for colder months, a thicker sleeper or a light jacket might be needed over the outfit. For warmer weather, lighter cotton options are ideal. One of my biggest concerns, as I tend to have smaller babies, is making sure the outfit actually fits! Many brands offer 'newborn' size, but some babies are indeed 'preemie' size, even if not born early. It's often a good idea to have both a newborn size and a 0-3 month size packed, just in case. Or, like me, consider outfits that might run a little smaller or have a bit of stretch like the pink ribbed romper for a snugger fit. You don't want their first photos to be in an outfit that's swimming on them! And let's talk about accessories! I'm so excited about a little wooden name sign, just like the 'Josie Quinn' name sign style I found, and those dainty gold bracelets for photos. While adorable, always remember safety first. For car seat safety, avoid bulky outfits or anything that could interfere with the harness. For photos, accessories like headbands (like the cream bow headband or white bow headband) and bracelets are sweet, but ensure they're not too tight and are removed when not actively posing for pictures. You can capture those precious first moments and memories without compromising their comfort or safety. Finally, don't forget about yourself! When thinking about mommy and newborn hospital outfits, comfort is paramount for mom too. You'll want loose-fitting clothes that are easy to nurse in (if you choose to breastfeed) and accommodate your post-partum body. A comfortable robe, loose pajamas, and easy slip-on shoes are lifesavers. Seeing your baby in their chosen best newborn outfits for hospital for the first time is truly magical, and having both of you comfortable makes the experience even sweeter.
