Fajitas 🩷
🩷 Last night for dinner, we had fajitas, and they turned out pretty decent ! Just used whatever we had in the fridge. 🌮✨
🔥 Yes, I charred the jalapeños and tortillas right on the stovetop of my electric stove!!!! And I know it was risky but it gave them such an amazing flavor. 🩷🥑
And my favorite guy truly enjoyed dinner, and that is always my favorite part of cooking!! 😍🥰😘🩷
Happy Wednesday, folks! 🩷

I’ve always enjoyed making fajitas because they’re incredibly versatile and perfect for using up whatever you have in your fridge. One tip I recently discovered is charring jalapeños directly on the stovetop, which adds a fantastic smoky heat that elevates the whole dish. It might sound risky, especially on an electric stove, but just keep an eye on them and turn frequently to avoid burning. The same goes for the tortillas – lightly charring them brings out a slight crispiness and deeper flavor that regular warming on a pan just can’t match. The beauty of fajitas is that you can customize the filling endlessly. I often mix grilled chicken, bell peppers, and onions seasoned with simple spices like cumin and chili powder. But I’ve also tried veggie fajitas with mushrooms and zucchini for a meatless twist. When assembling, adding fresh avocado or guacamole enhances the creaminess, balancing the spicy notes from those jalapeños. For a dinner that feels special without much fuss, this method works wonders. Plus, sharing a homemade meal that your loved ones enjoy is truly rewarding. The small acts of cooking with care, from charred peppers to thoughtful seasoning, create moments that nourish both body and spirit. Whether it’s a busy weeknight or a relaxed weekend, fajitas made this way are a delicious way to cozy up and celebrate simple living.
