Things to do before the New Year

2025/12/28 Edited to

... Read moreAs the New Year approaches, taking intentional steps beforehand can really set the tone for a positive and fulfilling year ahead. One of the things I personally love doing is reflective journaling using prompts like "I will improve this year by..." and "My favorite memories were..." This practice helps me gain clarity on my growth and aspirations, and learn from past experiences. Another powerful ritual is creating a prosperity jar using green candle wax, cinnamon, basil, bay leaves, rice or oats, and a coin—these ingredients symbolize money, momentum, success, and long-term abundance. I keep mine near my workspace and gently shake it weekly during the New or Full Moon while reciting an incantation to attract abundance. This magical yet mindful practice helps me stay focused on financial intentions. In addition to abundance work, I find spiritual connection invaluable. Reciting prayers to archangels such as Michael for protection, Gabriel for hope, and Raphael for healing grounds me emotionally and spiritually. This helps me release fear and stress from the past year and opens me up to divine guidance and support in the year ahead. I also encourage incorporating cleansing rituals—burning sage or herbs to clear old energy, placing crystals at entryways, and writing wishes on bay leaves to burn. These symbolic acts are small but impactful ways to physically and mentally let go of what no longer serves us and welcome fresh energy. Finally, setting intentions with positive affirmations and using tools like intention jars or sachets infused with herbs helps keep your goals in focus daily. These tangible reminders can motivate you throughout the year. In my experience, combining reflective practices, spiritual rituals, and intention setting before the New Year creates a harmonious balance of mindset, energy, and actions that significantly influence a joyful new beginning.
