🔥 Step 1: Heat the Oil
1️⃣ Pour oil into a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot.
2️⃣ Heat to 350°F (175°C) while you prep everything else.
⸻
🔥 Step 2: Make the Meat Sauce
Ingredients:
Butter, chopped seasoning mix (onions, bell peppers, celery, etc.), salt, pepper, ground beef, ground sausage, Italian seasoning, oregano, diced tomatoes, pasta sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, sugar, any other seasonings to taste.
Instructions:
1️⃣ In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
2️⃣ Add chopped seasoning mix, sauté until soft (about 3-5 minutes). Season with salt & pepper. Remove from skillet.
3️⃣ In the same skillet, add ground beef & sausage. Cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.
4️⃣ Return sautéed veggies to the pan.
5️⃣ Add Italian seasoning, oregano, diced tomatoes, and pasta sauce. Stir well.
6️⃣ Season with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, oregano, black pepper, and sugar.
7️⃣ Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
⸻
🔥 Step 3: Make the Ricotta Mixture
Ingredients:
Ricotta cheese, chopped parsley, parmesan cheese, egg, seasonings (salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder—to taste).
Instructions:
1️⃣ In a bowl, mix ricotta, parsley, parmesan, and egg until combined.
2️⃣ Season until it tastes good to you. Set aside.
⸻
🔥 Step 4: Prepare the “Noodles” (Egg Roll Wrappers as Lasagna Noodles)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Bring a pot of water to a boil.
2️⃣ Drop in egg roll wrappers, one at a time.
3️⃣ Boil for 30-45 seconds until slightly soft but not falling apart.
4️⃣ Remove carefully and lay on a parchment-lined surface to prevent sticking.
(These will act as your lasagna noodles inside the roll!)…. It doesn’t matter if they break. You’ll only use small pieces inside
🔥 Step 5: Assemble the Lasagna Egg Rolls
1️⃣ Lay out about 4 egg roll wrapper and layer! It … fold. You can coat with hot Cheetos now if you want (egg, flour, eggs, hot cheetos)
⸻
🔥 Step 7: Deep-Fry to Perfection
1️⃣ Carefully place the coated egg rolls in the 350°F oil.
2️⃣ Fry for 2-3 minutes, flipping once, until crispy and golden red.
3️⃣ Remove and drain on a wire rack (not paper towels) to keep it crisp.
⸻
🔥 Step 8: Serve & Enjoy!
Dipping Sauce Ideas:
• wing stop ranch

Hey foodies! So, you've seen my wild journey making those Deep-Fried Hot Cheeto Lasagna Burritos, right? But let's talk a bit more about the magic behind the 'lasagna burrito' concept itself, because honestly, it blew my mind! Before I dove into the deep-fried, spicy version, I was just curious about this crazy fusion trend. It's like taking two of the greatest comfort foods and smashing them together – pure genius if you ask me! I remember first seeing someone roll up lasagna fillings into a tortilla or an egg roll wrapper, and thinking, 'Why didn't I think of that?' It's such a clever way to make lasagna portable and snackable. While my recipe focuses on the crunchy, deep-fried Hot Cheeto crust (which, trust me, is a must-try for a wild weekend treat!), the beauty of a lasagna burrito is how versatile it is. It's not just about the extreme version; the core idea of a lasagna burrito is genius on its own. If you're not feeling the deep-fry or the intense heat of Hot Cheetos, you can totally customize these. I've heard of people baking them until golden brown, or even air-frying for a quicker, healthier crunch. Imagine a classic lasagna burrito, perhaps with a sprinkle of Italian herbs on top, baked until the cheese is bubbly and melted. So good! You could also experiment with different fillings – maybe a spinach and ricotta mix for a vegetarian option, or adding some diced bell peppers to your meat sauce for extra veggies. The possibilities are endless once you get the basic technique down. One thing I learned while experimenting is that the 'noodle' choice really matters. Using egg roll wrappers, like I did (and shoutout to brands like Nasoya, they make it so easy!), is a game-changer. They're thin enough to roll, but sturdy enough to hold all that delicious filling. Don't be afraid if they break a little when you boil them; those smaller pieces actually work perfectly inside the roll to mimic those classic lasagna layers. It’s all about creating those distinct, flavorful strata within your burrito. And for those wondering about serving – while Wing Stop ranch is my personal obsession with the Hot Cheeto version, a classic marinara dipping sauce or even a creamy alfredo would be amazing with a more traditional lasagna burrito. It's all about making it your own! So, if you're looking for a fun new way to enjoy lasagna, definitely give the lasagna burrito a try. It's an adventure in every bite, and you can totally tailor it to your taste. Happy cooking, and welcome to my cooking show, lol!
