Ciao! I’m Brenda DuBois — a passionate creative, dedicated scholar, and future Haute Couture designer pursuing my Master’s at Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Milan, Italy.
After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Howard University (yes, all A’s across four years!), I’m now preparing to deepen my design practice and invest in sustainable, innovative fashion solutions. Getting accepted into this program at IED Milan was a dream come true, but I know from experience that dreams come with detours, surprises, and a few rainy days.
That’s why I’ve created this Rainy Day Fund — a small but meaningful cushion for emergencies and educational unexpecteds while studying abroad. Whether it’s an unexpected trip to the doctor, last-minute material costs, or lost luggage on a budget flight from Rome, this fund is here to keep my journey steady, not stressful.
One of my closest friends reminded me recently: “Don’t block your blessings. People want to celebrate you and support you.” So I’m choosing not to walk this road alone.
