Homemade Honey Chipotle Chicken Tenders 😊✨
Ingredients
* Chicken tenderloins
* Buttermilk
* Pickle juice
* Hot sauce
* Cajun seasoning
* Flour
* Cornstarch
* Oil (for frying)
* Chipotle adobo sauce (just the sauce)
* Honey
* Lime juice

Directions
Start by marinating your chicken in buttermilk, pickle juice, hot sauce, and Cajun seasoning for 3 hours.
In a separate bowl, mix 2 cups of flour, 2 cups of cornstarch, and a generous amount of Cajun seasoning. Coat each chicken tender really well.
Heat your oil and fry the tenders until they’re crispy, golden brown, and cooked through. Set them aside.
For the sauce, melt 5 tablespoons of butter, then add hot sauce, lime juice, garlic powder, chipotle adobo sauce (just the sauce), and honey. I like to eyeball the honey depending on how sweet I want it!
Toss the hot chicken tenders in the honey chipotle sauce until they’re fully coated.
Top with a little chopped parsley if you’d like, and enjoy! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
... Read moreIf you're looking to impress family or friends with a simple yet delicious dinner, homemade honey chipotle chicken tenders are an excellent choice. The combination of buttermilk and pickle juice in the marinade not only tenderizes the chicken but also adds a subtle tang that balances perfectly with the sweetness of honey and smoky heat from the chipotle adobo sauce.
Marinating the chicken for at least three hours ensures the flavors penetrate deeply, making each bite juicy and flavorful. For those who like a bit more kick, adjusting the amount of hot sauce or chipotle adobo sauce in the sauce can personalize the heat level to your liking. Using a mixture of flour and cornstarch in the coating helps achieve an extra crispy, golden crust that stays crunchy even after being coated in the sauce.
When frying, maintaining the right oil temperature is key to getting perfectly cooked tenders without absorbing too much oil. After frying, tossing them immediately in the warm honey chipotle sauce allows the flavors to meld beautifully, coating each tender evenly.
A squeeze of lime juice and a sprinkle of fresh parsley bring fresh brightness and color to the dish, making it not only tasty but visually appealing too. These chicken tenders pair wonderfully with classic sides like coleslaw, fries, or a simple green salad for a complete meal.
Personally, I’ve found that making these tenders is a crowd-pleaser at gatherings and an easy dinner fix on busy weeknights. Plus, the versatility of the sauce means you can tweak the sweetness or spiciness to suit your family’s preferences.
