Best Mashed Potatoes
These homemade mashed potatoes are creamy and delicious. With just a few easy steps, your family can enjoy mashed potatoes from scratch.

Ingredients:
3 lbs Russet Potatoes
½ cup Butter
1 cup Milk
½ tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
Instructions:
Clean and peel the potatoes. Then quarter them.
Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover them with water. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the potatoes are fork tender.
Drain the potatoes and then return them back to the pot.
Then add in the butter, milk, salt and pepper. Use an electric mixer to blend the potatoes until they are light and fluffy or use a hand masher to mash them to the consistency that you prefer.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Easy Homemade Brown Gravy Pouring Over Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients:
▢ 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
▢ 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
▢ ¼ teaspoon onion powder
▢ ⅛ teaspoon white pepper
▢ ¼ teaspoon sea salt, plus more to taste
▢ 2 cups chicken broth
▢ 1 cup water
▢ ½ teaspoon beef bouillon granules
Directions:
Make the Gravy:
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the flour, onion powder, white pepper, and sea salt to the melted butter, stirring to create a smooth roux.
Cook the roux for 1-2 minutes, whisking constantly, until it just begins to turn a light golden color.
Slowly pour in the chicken broth, whisking continuously to avoid lumps and ensure a smooth texture.
Add the water and beef bouillon granules, stirring well to combine.
Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, whisking constantly until the gravy thickens—about 1-2 minutes.
Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt or pepper, if desired.
Remove from heat and serve immediately over a warm bed of fluffy mashed potatoes.
To Store:
Cool and transfer to a sealed container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave, stirring occasionally.
