• 2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes (peeled and cubed)

• 4 tbsp butter

• ¾ cup heavy cream or whole milk

• 2 cloves garlic (optional)

• ½ cup sour cream (optional for extra creaminess)

• Salt and black pepper to taste

• Fresh parsley for garnish

1️⃣ Boil the Potatoes

Place cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold salted water.

Bring to a boil and cook for 15–18 minutes until fork tender.

2️⃣ Warm the Cream

In a small saucepan warm the butter, cream, and garlic together.

This helps the potatoes absorb the liquid better.

3️⃣ Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.

Mash using a potato masher or ricer until smooth.

4️⃣ Make Them Creamy

Slowly pour the warm cream mixture into the potatoes while mixing.

Add sour cream if using.

Season with salt and black pepper.

5️⃣ Serve

Top with melted butter and fresh parsley.
