The Dessert I ALWAYS Make for Guests!

Whenever people come over, this Texas Sheet Cake is my go-to. It’s rich, fudgy, and that warm chocolate frosting? Absolutely irresistible! Everyone asks for the recipe. 🤤

✨ What You Need:

Sheet Cake:

✔️ 1 cup water

✔️ 1 cup butter

✔️ 3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

✔️ 2 cups all-purpose flour

✔️ 2 cups granulated sugar

✔️ 1 teaspoon baking soda

✔️ 1/2 teaspoon salt

✔️ 1/2 cup sour cream

✔️ 2 large eggs

✔️ 1 teaspoon vanilla

Frosting:

✔️ 6 Tablespoons milk

✔️3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

✔️ 1/2 cup butter

✔️ 3 3/4 cups powdered sugar

👀 How to Make It:

1️⃣ Add water, butter, and cocoa powder to a medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring mixture to boil.

2️⃣ Mix dry ingredients together in a separate bowl.

3️⃣ Mix sour cream/egg mixture to the flour mixture.

4️⃣ Add the boiling chocolate mixture to the batter, mix until no lumps remain.

5️⃣Pour batter into a 18x13” sheet pan.

6️⃣Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes.

7️⃣While it bakes, add milk, cocoa powder. and butter to a saucepan. Bring to boil. Beat in the powdered sugar.

8️⃣Pour frosting over the warm cake & let it set.
