These French baguettes are shockingly simple to make and pair perfectly with soups, spreads, or just butter. Once you make them, store-bought bread won’t stand a chance. 🙌

🛒 Ingredients:

✅ 2 cups (475 mL) warm water, divided

✅ 1/2 tsp instant yeast

✅ 4 cups (520g) all-purpose flour

✅ 2 tsp salt

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Mix 1/3 cup warm water and yeast. Rest 5 min.

2. Combine flour + salt. Slowly add yeast water + remaining water. Mix well.

3. Cover and rest 20 min.

4. Stretch + fold dough all around. Cover and rest 20 min.

5. Repeat stretch + fold 2 more times, resting 20 min between.

6. Let dough rise 1.5 hrs (or refrigerate up to 12 hrs).

7. Divide dough into 3. Shape each into rectangles.

8. Fold like a brochure and pinch to seal.

9. Roll each into 15’’ logs. Rest 1 hr in baguette pan.

10. Preheat oven to 475°F with hot water on bottom rack.

11. Score dough, bake 15–20 min until golden brown.
