Does ADHD Explain Everything?

ADHD is real and can make life harder in so many ways but lately, I’ve noticed something frustrating. Some people seem to use it as an excuse for everything missed deadlines, forgotten plans, even relationship conflicts.

I get it ADHD can affect focus, memory, and organization. But when does it stop being a genuine struggle and start being a way to avoid responsibility? do you think people sometimes overuse ADHD as a catch all excuse, or should we always give the benefit of the doubt?

Omgosh I thought I was the only one that felt like this , I actually have ADHD, I’m on the spectrum, I have severe anxiety & severe PTSD & people think it’s a cute lil thing to have 😩 just like people over use being bipolar just because they mood switches 🙄 mental health is already hard enough without people claiming it because it’s “trending” 🤦🏾‍♀️

It’s hard to tell; I admit I say my ADHD is the cause for most things, even with medication. And it’s hard to articulate when it’s genuinely the ADHD. Now there’s time I’ll be late for work and want to blame my adhd but truth is, I just didn’t want to get up 😂
