I literally don’t have many friends.

It’s a really tough spot to be in, feeling that deep-seated fear of making friends. I know exactly what it’s like to be afraid of getting close to people, and the thought that ‘people will hurt you if you give them the room’ just runs on repeat in your mind. It’s like, why invest if it’s all going to crumble anyway? Overcoming this fear isn't a quick fix, and honestly, I'm still figuring it out. But I've started to realize that maybe it's less about letting everyone in, and more about learning to discern who deserves that space. It’s about taking small, calculated risks, understanding that not every interaction will lead to pain. I've been trying to practice being a little bit more open, even just sharing a tiny bit more of myself than I normally would. It’s a slow process of building resilience and, importantly, realizing that my worth isn't tied to how many friends I have, but to the quality of the connections I do manage to build, however few they may be.
