WEEKLY MEAL PREP : Hot Honey Wings

So I started meal prepping for my work days cause your girl is lazy so let’s get into these prices. I got everything from Walmart.

Chicken legs, thighs and wings- $5.62

Rice- $1.77

Asparagus- $3.67

Carrots- $0.98

Broccoli- $2.47

Corn- $2.00

Lemons 🍋- $2.92

Yellow Rice Recipe:

Ingredients:

- 1 cup long grain white rice

- 2 cups chicken broth

- 1 tablespoon olive oil

- 1 teaspoon turmeric

- 1/2 teaspoon cumin

- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.

2. Add rice and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally until rice is lightly toasted.

3. Stir in turmeric, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.

5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.

6. Fluff with a fork and serve hot.

Hot Honey Wings Recipe:

Ingredients:

- 2 lbs chicken wings

- 1/2 cup hot sauce

- 1/4 cup honey

- 2 tablespoons butter

- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

2. Season chicken wings with salt and pepper and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

3. Bake for 25-30 minutes until wings are crispy and cooked through.

4. In a small saucepan, combine hot sauce, honey, and butter. Heat over low heat until butter is melted.

5. Toss cooked wings in hot honey sauce until evenly coated.

6. Serve hot with celery sticks and ranch dressing for dipping.

Jerk BBQ Thighs Recipe:

Ingredients:

- 2 lbs chicken thighs

- 1/4 cup jerk seasoning

- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

2. Season chicken thighs with jerk seasoning and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

3. Bake for 25-30 minutes until thighs are crispy and cooked through.

4. Toss cooked thighs in barbecue sauce until evenly coated.

5. Serve hot with extra barbecue sauce for dipping.

Seasoned Air Fryer Broccoli, Asparagus, and Carrots Recipe:

Ingredients:

- 1 cup broccoli florets

- 1 cup asparagus spears

- 1 cup baby carrots

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, toss broccoli, asparagus, and carrots with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

2. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.

3. Place seasoned vegetables in the air fryer basket in a single layer.

4. Cook for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until vegetables are tender and slightly crispy.

5. Serve hot as a side dish.

Corn Recipe:

Ingredients:

- 4 ears of corn

- 1/4 cup butter, softened

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Garlic powder, paprika, chilli powder and Italian seasoning optional

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

2. Add corn and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender.

3. Remove corn from water and spread butter over each ear.

4. Season with salt and pepper before serving hot.
