FROZEN BLUEBERRY & GREEK YOGURT BARS 🐾🫐🐶
🍨 Greek Yogurt benefits for dogs: Greek yogurt contains probiotics. These probiotics can help promote healthy digestion! It also helps with: bone strength (from calcium), muscle development (from protein), and much more!
🫐 Blueberries benefits for dogs: They are nutrient rich – vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants!
* Vitamins:
Blueberries are a good source of vitamins C and K. Vitamin C boosts the immune system, while vitamin K is important for blood clotting and bone health.
* Minerals:
They also contain manganese, which supports metabolism and bone development, as well as calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium, all of which contribute to overall health.
* Antioxidants:
Blueberries are packed with antioxidants which help protect cells from damage, reducing the risk of chronic diseases like cancer and heart diseases.
HOW TO MAKE:
• Take 2 cups of Plain Greek Yogurt (I make sure it has zero to no added sugars or xylitol, as that can be toxic)
•Take 2 cups of freshly washed Blueberries and mix, mix, mix. I like to mash it a little bit so that they aren’t just swallowing the blueberries whole while eating it (aka scarfing it down - they love it!)
•Add even amounts into your mold and freeze for 4-6 hours (I usually do overnight)
•Take them out of the molds and let your fur babies enjoy! 🍨🫐🐶🐾
*I purchased silicone dog bone molds on Amazon for like $10 - it works best on a silicone mold so it’s easy to take out when frozen.*
These Greek Yogurt Blueberry treats are excellent at helping prevent or improving with UTI’s especially in Golden Retrievers (it’s helped all 3 of our golden girls through the years)! 💗
