I love a good + easy high protein meal ANY time — but especially during pregnancy. I’ve loved putting together simple & fresh meals that taste amazing but take minimal effort, especially in this third trimester where some nights I’m feeling a bit exhausted by dinner time.
PROTEIN:
🍔 Grassfed Burgers + Cheese (I buy the Grass Rooted brand from Publix). We smoked them on the smoker this time and it added a divine flavor kick.
VEGGIES:
🥑 Diced avocado, tomato, red onion, pickles, & spring blend salad. I like to chop it even though the leaves are smaller. Just makes it taste better in my opinion 😜
HOMEMADE DRESSING:
🫙 A couple scoops of chosen brand mayo, a squeeze from half a lemon, greenwise organic regular mustard (can also use stone ground my second favorite kind), ketchup, & some splashes of red wine vinegar. MEASURE WITH YOUR HEART & to your own taste/liking. It’s delicious on top of this salad.
Toss all together, drizzle your dressing, then toss again. Yummy + filling and a great buildable meal as you can add all the veggies you want.

Start by choosing quality protein sources; grass-fed beef is an excellent choice, as it tends to be richer in nutrients and flavor. If you are looking to elevate the taste of your burgers, smoking them adds a unique depth that can take your dish to the next level.
In terms of vegetables, the options are virtually endless. While this recipe suggests diced avocado, tomatoes, red onions, and pickles, you can get creative with seasonal veggies to enhance flavor and nutrition. Crisp greens, bell peppers, or even roasted corn could complement the dish beautifully.
The homemade dressing is a standout feature of this bowl. The combination of mayonnaise, lemon juice, mustard, ketchup, and red wine vinegar creates a tangy and creamy texture that ties all the ingredients together. Don’t hesitate to adjust the quantities to suit your palate—this is a recipe that truly allows for personal expression.
Moreover, this dish is especially beneficial during pregnancy, as it provides essential nutrients and a balanced meal that supports both the mother and baby.
