VANILLA BEAN BELGIAN WAFFLES
🍨 Homemade Vanilla Bean Belgian Waffles 🧇
Crispy on the outside, soft + fluffy inside… and the vanilla bean makes them taste like a bakery at home.
Perfect for slow mornings, brunch spreads, or just because who doesn’t love waffles?
⸻
✨ Ingredients
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 Tbsp sugar
• 1 Tbsp baking powder
• ½ tsp salt
• 2 large eggs
• 1 ¾ cups milk
• ½ cup melted butter
• 1 vanilla bean (split + scraped) or 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
• Optional: 1 tsp vanilla extract for an extra boost
⸻
🍽 How to Make
1. Whisk dry ingredients
Flour, sugar, baking powder, salt.
2. Mix wet ingredients
Eggs, milk, melted butter, vanilla bean seeds/paste.
3. Combine
Pour wet into dry + mix until just combined (a few lumps are fine!).
4. Rest the batter
Let it sit 5–10 minutes — this is what makes Belgian waffles extra fluffy.
5. Cook
Heat your waffle iron + cook until golden, crisp, and perfect.

💡 Tips
✨ Add a splash of extra butter for richer waffles
✨ Don’t overmix — you want airy batter
✨ Freeze leftovers for busy mornings

🍓 Serve With
Fresh berries
Vanilla bean whipped cream
Maple syrup
Powdered sugar
A drizzle of melted butter (always)

Sounds wonderful. I would separate the eggs and whip the whites and fold them in the mixed batter. This will add even more air.
