5 Ways to Serve the SAME Breakfast… for Dinner 😂🍳✨
Last night’s dinner wasn’t dinner.
It was BREAKFAST. For DINNER.
Because sometimes that’s the only meal everyone will actually eat 😭💛
In a SEN household with picky eaters, sensory needs and very specific food rules, “one meal” turns into five different plates… even though the ingredients are literally the same.
Here’s how I turned one full English into 5 completely different dinners:
---
🍳 Plate 1: Full English
The whole vibe — bacon, sausage, egg, beans, toast.
Textures separate but all included.
The classic brinner plate.
🥪 Plate 2: Bacon, Egg & cheese Sandwich
Soft bread, no visible textures, contained neatly.
Perfect for sensory-sensitive eaters who get overwhelmed by busy plates.
🍞 Plate 3: Sausages, Beans & Toast
Simple, beige, comforting.
Zero fuss, maximum eaten.
🍗 Plate 4: Sausage, Bacon, Egg + BBQ Sauce
A protein-heavy plate for the “no beans EVER” child 😭
Sauce only if it’s BBQ, nothing else.
🫙 Plate 5: Beans in a Jar + Sausages + Toast
Everything separated, nothing touching, visually predictable.
Ideal for ASD/ADHD kids who prefer compartment-style meals. (Even though that ONE bean that I managed to miss on the plate, sent him over the edge 😅)
---
✨ Why I let everyone eat a different version:
Because it’s still one cooking session, the same ingredients, the same budget…
Just plated in five ways that meet each kid’s needs.
No meltdowns.
No wasted food.
Everyone fed.
Brinner = peace restored.
Save this for your next “everyone wants something different… using the SAME food” night 😭🍳

sen kids can often be set off by something that to us would seem simple or nothing, just like different food items touching,
