Things that aren’t necessary, but ✨nice to have✨

Contrary to popular belief, your newborn doesn't NEED a whole lot when they are born 🤷🏽‍♀️. There are however some things that I deem "nice but not necessary" and this is a list of some of those things!

1. Wipe Warmer

This one may be controversial but I actually loved our wipe warmer and will use it for my next baby period 😅

2. Owlet

We have the Owlet Smart Sock 2 (I know they have the dream sock now but I wanted it for the performance that only the smart sock has.) I love it and it helped with my peace of mind so much!

3. Keekaroo

We used this until my daughter was almost 2! Love it and it's so easy to clean. Worth the money to meeeee 🙂‍↕️

4. Bottle Warmer

you can just boil water and put the ville in but I liked using a bottle warmer whenever I needed to give a bottle because I didn't have to watch it so closely.

5. Diaper Cream Applicator

Everybody swore this was so useless! But when my daughter was small and I have to change her diaper SOOOO much I love this! Kept my fingers clean.

6. Snuggle Me Lounger

I never left my daughter unsupervised in this or used it in her crib but she loved it for supervised naps and just chilling when she was a newborn! Gave her a nice secure feeling.

7. Rear View Camera

Honestly, who still uses the mirror?

8. Electric Nail File

Definitely not necessary but made it so much easier for me 👏🏽

These are nice to haves that I will absolutely be using with my next baby! Let me know if you guys want a part 2 🤗

... Read moreNavigating newborn care can be overwhelming, especially with the endless list of essentials. While some items are must-haves, others fall into the 'nice-to-have' category, offering added convenience. For instance, a Wipe Warmer can provide comfort to your little one during diaper changes, while the Owlet Smart Sock adds an extra layer of peace of mind for anxious parents. The Keekaroo Changer takes the hassle out of changing diapers, combining ease of cleaning and comfort. Additionally, a Bottle Warmer simplifies nighttime feedings, allowing you to warm milk more efficiently. Items like the Snuggle Me Lounger help calm babies with a secure feeling during supervised naps, while the Electric Nail File eases the often tricky process of baby nail care. Exploring these products not only gives insight into optional parenting tools but also helps new parents prioritize what they truly need versus what might make the journey a little smoother. Engage with other parents about their favorite non-essential products; it could lead to new discoveries for your parenting toolkit!
