There are a variety of varieties in Thailand, both ancient / native and newly developed commercial varieties, clearly divided by color, effect and taste:
🟥 1.Red / dark red group
⭕ Pomegranate Mon Rose: Oily Crimson Fruit, Extremely Sweet Taste, Firm Texture, Crisp, Seedless, Medium Juicy
⭕ Mimi Miao apple apple: dark red-purple (almost black) fruit, white soft thick texture, with large seeds, sweet and sour taste, with a fragrance resembling cat milk flowers.

1. Ancient Thai group (very rare)
- Flower water chompoo (yellow / red): Legend-class ancient varieties, round fruit resembling gourds or chan balls, hollow inside, soft thin flesh, the hallmark is a strong aroma, jirujong resembles cat's milk flowers, sweet taste. Currently, there are both traditional varieties (golden yellow fruit) and imported varieties (purple red fruit).
- Algae Chompoo: The effect resembles a Mimi Chompoo but is smaller. The fruit skin has alternating red and white streaks. It is a long, algae-like pattern. Soft fluffy texture, juicy water, refreshing sweet and sour taste.
- Ma'am Cheek Chompoo: Inverted Cone Shape Effect, Off-White, Pinkish, Like Foreigner's Cheeks, Soft White Texture, With Fluffy Fill, Mildly Sweet Taste, And With A Rose-Like Smell
- Cauliflower chompoo: small-key spherical fruit, pale white or yellowish white, crisp thick texture, sweet and sour taste, faint aroma. It is an ancient variety that is almost unknown.

2.Mutant group / strange species (fancy species)
- Spotted Pomegranate Moon Chompoo / Spotted Pomegranate Chompoo: It is a group of alkaline leafy trees that are very popular with strange tree collectors. In addition to the fruits are edible, the leaves are white or beautifully creamy, suitable for planting as ornamental plants, showing leaves in the garden.
- White Mimi Mew Chompoo: Usually, Mimi Mew Chompoo has a dark red, almost black effect, but this species has been developed to a whitish effect, but retains the same thick, soft texture, sweet and sour taste, and pronounced pollen aroma.
