Day 20 - Strength to Keep Trusting
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5
✨ Reflection
There comes a point in the journey where effort isn’t the issue—trust is.
You’ve been showing up.
You’ve been putting in the work.
You’ve been trying to stay consistent.
But what makes this season hard is that things don’t fully make sense.
God will often stretch your faith in places where your understanding can’t follow.
Not to confuse you—but to grow you.
Because if you could explain everything, you wouldn’t need faith.
Trusting God isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about believing He’s still leading—even when the path feels unclear.
This is where many people slow down…
This is where some stop completely…
But this is also where real faith is built.
Not when everything lines up—
But when you choose to trust anyway.

Where in my life am I trying to understand everything instead of trusting God?
🙏 Prayer
Lord, help me trust You even when I don’t understand what You’re doing.
Teach me to release control and lean on Your wisdom instead of my own.
Strengthen my faith in this stretch, and remind me that You are still leading me every step of the way.

During times of uncertainty, maintaining trust can feel especially challenging. I’ve found that truly embracing faith means accepting that not all answers will be clear right away. Proverbs 3:5 encourages us to "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding," which reminds me to relinquish control and allow God’s guidance to lead. In my own experience, there have been seasons where effort and dedication were consistent, yet the progress seemed invisible or confusing. Those moments tested my patience and trust the most. However, I learned that these periods are opportunities for spiritual growth rather than setbacks. God stretches our faith in ways that understanding cannot immediately grasp, which ultimately deepens trust. It’s helpful to reflect on the areas where we seek to comprehend everything instead of surrendering to faith. Asking ourselves where we overanalyze or try to control outcomes can open doors to letting go and fully relying on God’s plan. This shift doesn’t happen overnight, but choosing to trust even when the path isn’t clear is where genuine faith takes root. Furthermore, prayer becomes a vital practice during these times. Praying for strength to trust and wisdom to release control fosters peace amidst uncertainty. I've found that regular reflection and prayer build resilience, enabling me to keep moving forward despite unanswered questions. Ultimately, trusting God beyond understanding leads to a fulfilling journey of faith. It’s not about having all the answers but believing God’s guidance is present in every step, even when unseen. This perspective encourages perseverance and hope, inspiring us to remain steadfast in belief through all seasons.
