HP introduced the HP EliteBoard G1a at CES 2026 with a new concept of a Windows 11 computer that condenses every element to a single keyboard. This version of the device is not a laptop and not a traditional Mini PC, but a keyboard with a computer inside, ready to run as soon as it is plugged in.

The EliteBoard G1a is based on the x86 architecture. It supports Windows 11. It is powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series chips that come with higher-performance AI (NPU) processors than 50 TOPS. It fully supports the AI features of Copilot + PC. It has a 32Wh battery, increasing the flexibility of use. It allows the device to be moved to another screen or desk connection without shutdown.

The machine comes in a thin keyboard form of only about 17 millimeters. It weighs about 700 grams. It is about half the weight of a Mechanical Keyboard. It is lighter than a normal notebook. It is easy to carry a bag. It is easy to use. Only connect the display via USB-C is immediately available. It supports a 4K resolution external screen extension with stereo speakers and a built-in microphone.

A key highlight is its modular design; users can remove the bottom cover to upgrade or replace parts themselves, both upgrading DDR5 SODIMM RAM up to 64GB, up to 2TB M.2 NVMe SSDs, as well as batteries, fans, and keyboard panels, which are also designed to provide a certain level of water spill protection.

The HP EliteBoard G1a is therefore suited to offices without regular desks, IT parties looking for flexible working solutions, including users who need simple but differentiated computers, prepared for release in March 2026 without an official price announcement.
