Instructions
Prepare the Cake Layers:

Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix in the vanilla extract and beat until the frosting is fluffy and spreadable.
Assemble the Cake:
Trim the tops of the cooled cakes to create flat layers. Reserve the trimmings to crumble for decoration later.
