Level-up that boxed mac & cheese 🫶✨

Since I was a kid, boxed mac & cheese has been a proud staple of my diet.

As I’d be cooking up my after school snack, I figured out that if I was feeling a little ~extra cheesy~ I could add shredded cheese and broil in the oven for some extra flavor and texture.

Later on, I also found that adding in broccoli not only is the perfect pairing with the delicious cheddar flavor, but it also pretty much doubles the size of the dish which makes it perfect for 2 people or as a side dish to your favorite protein.

Here is my recipe as well as a few of my favorite boxed mac & cheese making tips 🫶

Ingredients ✨

❤️‍🔥1 box of your favorite mac & cheese + the ingredients it requires (def would go for a sharp cheddar here though!)

🧀 3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar (you can go more or less here to your hearts desire)

🥦 1 small bag frozen broccoli

🧂 Salt, pepper, garlic salt

1. Preheat oven to broil. Make your boxed make and cheese according to instructions.

2. While that cooks, microwave the frozen broccoli accoriding to instructions. Once finished, season with salt, pepper, and garlic salt to taste.

3. Once mac & cheese is finished, mix in cooked broccoli until evenly combined.

4. Top with cheddar cheese, and place in oven 2-3min or until cheese is desired meltiness/crispness
