Aldi meal in 15 minutes 🧀
This is the easiest and delicious meal that is in my weekly dinner rotation. Comes out perfect every time.
I absolutely love my go-to Aldi Spinach & Cheese Ravioli meal, and I wanted to share a few extra tips and tricks that have made it a staple in my kitchen! It's truly an easy Aldi meal hack that saves so much time. First off, when you're boiling the ravioli, don't skimp on the salt in the water. A good pinch of salt really helps season the pasta from the inside out. I usually let mine cook for just 2-3 minutes, as the package suggests, to keep them perfectly al dente. Overcooked ravioli is a no-go! While they're cooking, that's when I get started on the sauce – it's all about efficiency, right? For the sauce, I always start with a generous mix of butter and oil in the pan. The butter adds richness, and the oil helps prevent it from burning. Once that's melted and shimmering, I throw in a good amount of crushed garlic. The aroma alone is mouth-watering! This is also the perfect time to add a dash of chili flakes if you like a little kick, and a good sprinkle of Italian seasoning. These really elevate the simple sauce. After the garlic is fragrant, I pour in some milk, letting it come to a gentle boil. This is where the magic happens! Then, I add a splash of heavy cream – it makes the sauce so luxuriously creamy. Don't forget a pinch of salt to balance the flavors. Once that's simmering nicely, I stir in a good handful of mozzarella cheese and let it melt slowly on a low flame. The key is to keep the flame low so the cheese melts smoothly and doesn't clump. Now for the best part: adding the cooked spinach and cheese ravioli directly into the sauce. I let it simmer on a low flame for another 2-3 minutes, just enough for the pasta to absorb some of that delicious sauce. Then, I turn the flame to medium for a minute, giving it a final gentle stir. A little secret I've learned is to let the sauce be slightly runny at this stage, because it thickens beautifully as it cools. To finish, I always garnish with fresh green onions. They add a lovely pop of color and a fresh, mild oniony bite that complements the creamy sauce perfectly. Seriously, you won't believe how much flavor is packed into this 15-minute meal! And for those wondering about other quick Aldi finds, while this spinach and cheese ravioli is my absolute favorite, Aldi also has fantastic frozen broccoli cheddar soup. Sometimes, I'll even serve a small bowl of that on the side, or if I'm feeling adventurous, I might even use a bit of the soup to thin out my ravioli sauce for an extra cheesy, savory kick! You can also swap out the spinach & cheese ravioli for other varieties like mushroom or even a cheese tortellini from Aldi for a fun twist. It's all about making quick, delicious dinners work for you!
