Low Carb Pizza Skillet

My low carb pizza skillet is packed with veggies and Italian sausage. The cheese pull is insane! You don’t have to give up comfort foods to lose weight. Add your favorite toppings to make it your own. I ate low carb meals like this to reverse my PCOS insulin resistance. Give it a try!

Low Carb Pizza Skillet

2 cups pizza sauce (I used Rao’s)

1 bag (8 oz) pizza blend shredded cheese

1/2 cup mozzarella

1 lb mild Italian sausage

Half small onion diced

Small bell pepper diced

Sliced mushrooms

Pepperoni

Jalapeño sliced

Preheat oven to 350f.

Brown the sausage and set aside. In a cast iron skillet or oven proof skillet add 1.5 cup of sauce to cover the bottom. Then layer the sausage, cheese, and toppings. Add a 1/2 cup sauce over the top along with the 1/2 cup of mozzarella.

Transfer skillet to the oven and let bake for 25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbling on the sides.
