Creations herbs are incredibly healing for the kiddos! Here are some of my faves for the skin!
1.Chamomile:
Soothing and anti-inflammatory properties make it useful for calming skin irritation, redness, and eczema. Helps nerve pain. Use in skin eruptions and contact dermatitis.
2. St. John’s Wort:
Contains compounds with wound-healing and anti-inflammatory properties. Use for herpes simplex(cold sores), anxiety, bruises, sprains.
3. Lavender:
Calming, antiseptic, and mildly analgesic (pain-relieving) effects. Use for burns, wounds, bites, hives.
4. Red Clover:
Repairs tissues and has detoxifying effects. Can be used in teas, tinctures, or topical preparations for eczema, impetigo, and psoriasis.
5. Marigold:
Potent anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and wound-healing properties. Excellent for soothing diaper rash, minor cuts, and irritated skin. Use as an infused oil or salve. DIY Diaper Rash Cream.
6. Nettle:
Rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that nourish the skin. Helpful for acne, eczema, and inflammatory skin conditions. Drink as a tea, tincture, or use as a hair rinse.
7. Plantain (not the banana, Plantago Major):
Soothing, antimicrobial, and mildly astringent properties. Tissue repair. Clears toxic heat. Can be used topically for insect bites, stings, eczema, boils, burns. You can use fresh for topical compress for bleeding.
8. Cleavers:
Supports lymphatic drainage and has mild diuretic effects.
Beneficial for acne, eczema, burns, and other inflammatory skin issues. Use as a tea or tincture.
9. Burdock:
Detoxifying and anti-inflammatory properties that may benefit the hair, skin, and scalp. Helpful for acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Drink as a tea or use in tincture form.
10. Dandelion:
Liver supportive and anti-inflammatory effects that can benefit the skin. Useful for acne, eczema, and other inflammatory conditions. Drink the leaf or root tea or tincture
11. Celery Seed:
Contains compounds with anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties. May be helpful for reducing fluid retention and inflammation in the skin. Use as a tea or tincture.
