Mexican-Inspired rice

Today is Valentine’s Day and if you and your better half like Mexican cuisine, I suggest this recipe Mexican-style rice

Portions: 8

You will need the following ingredients:

- 2 1/2 tbsp camelina oil

- 1 large onion

- 6 garlic gloves

- 2 jalapeño peppers

- 2 cups (370 g) Basmati rice, well rinsed

- 1 1/2 tsp oregano

- 1 tsp Kanel Organic Taco Night seasoning

- 1/4 tsp ground cumin

- 3 tbsp tomato paste

- 4 tomatoes

- 2 1/2 cups (625 ml) vegetable broth

- Salt

- Green onion (to garnish)

Steps:

- In a casserole, heat the oil over medium heat.

- Add the onion, garlic cloves and peppers, then cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

- Add the rice and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

- Add the oregano, Organic Taco Night seasoning, cumin and tomate paste, and cook for 1 minute.

- Add the tomatoes and the broth, bring to a boil, then cover and continue cooking over medium heat for 14 minutes.

- Add the salt and mix.

- Remove from heat and let rest for 10 minutes.

- Serve in a bowl and garnish with green onion.

- Enjoy and subscribe!

- Ajouter le riz et cuire 5 minutes en mélangeant de temps en temps.

- Ajouter l'origan, les épices Soirée tacos biologique, le cumin et la pâte de tomates, puis cuire 1 minute.

- Ajouter les tomates, le bouillon et porter à ébullition, puis couvrir et poursuivre la cuisson à feu moyen pour 14 minutes.

- Ajouter le sel et mélanger.

- Retirer du feu et laisser reposer 10 minutes.

- Servir dans un bol et garnir avec un oignon vert.
