Double chocolate gluten free protein balls

6 days agoEdited to

... Read moreI've been making these double chocolate gluten free protein balls for a while now, and they have become my go-to snack for a quick energy boost. What I love about this recipe is its simplicity and versatility—you can easily adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey and swap peanut butter for other nut butters like almond or cookie butter to change the flavor profile. The inclusion of protein powder really helps keep me full, making these balls an excellent post-workout snack or midday treat. To prepare, start with finely processed cereal as a base, which adds a nice texture without gluten, mixed with two scoops of your favorite protein powder. I usually use chocolate-flavored protein powder to enhance the double chocolate flavor. Then, add in the peanut butter and honey gradually until you reach a sticky, moldable consistency. You can fold in chocolate chips or sprinkles for extra indulgence. Rolling these into bite-sized balls and chilling them in the fridge helps them set perfectly. I appreciate how this recipe balances indulgence and nutrition, fitting well into a gluten-free and protein-focused diet. For those with dietary restrictions or preferences, the recipe is flexible enough to accommodate different nut butters or even dairy-free protein powders. Overall, these protein balls are a great addition to any snack rotation, offering a sweet yet healthy option that satisfies chocolate cravings without the guilt.
