Things I do before the 1st day of classes

Classes begin in 3 days for me and many of my profs released their syllabi, which means it’s time for me to finalize everything so! So here are the things I do to keep myself organized for the term:

1️⃣ record due dates -

this applies to exam dates, tutorial meetings, any special dates my prof listed down on the syllabus. I use both Notion and my 2025.09 Muji planner’s calendar to write down these dates so that I have them ready to look at and never have to miss any deadlines!

2️⃣ meal planning -

since I don’t live on campus and spend 3 hours on commuting back and forth, I also created a meal plan and meal ideas. also because food is expensive on campus, and I try to restrict myself from buying food from school unless I’m super busy

3️⃣ budget for the school year -

as for me, I needed student loan for this 11-month program as my part time job isn’t enough. I finally received my loan today, so I’m tracking that down and then calculate how much I would need for the term and then lock the rest I won’t away in a savings account or consider opening a GIC!
