🍝 Easy Homemade Lasagna

Ingredients

• 1 lb Italian sausage

• 1.3 lb ground beef (85/15)

• ½ onion, chopped

• ½ carrot, finely chopped

• 1 tbsp minced garlic

• 1 tbsp garlic powder

• 1 tbsp onion powder

• 1 tbsp rosemary

• 1 tbsp Italian seasoning

• ½ tbsp cumin

• ½ tbsp parsley

• Salt & pepper (to taste)

• 1 bottle tomato sauce

• ½ cup red wine

• Fresh parsley, chopped

• 15 oz ricotta cheese

• 1 egg

• Grated Parmesan cheese

• Lasagna noodles (1 pack)

• Oil

Step 1: Make the Meat Sauce

1. Heat oil in a large pan and add minced garlic.

2. Add chopped onion and carrot. Cook until the onion turns soft and transparent.

3. Add ground beef and Italian sausage. Cook on medium heat until browned.

4. Add: garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, Italian seasoning

cumin, parsley, salt, and pepper

5. Pour in the tomato sauce and red wine.

6. Let it simmer on medium heat until rich and thick.

7. Taste and adjust salt if needed.

Step 2: Ricotta Mixture

1. In a bowl, mix:

- ricotta cheese

- 1 egg

- grated Parmesan

- a pinch of salt

2. Add chopped fresh parsley and mix well.

Step 3: Béchamel Sauce

1. In a mixing bowl, combine:

- ricotta cheese

- fresh parsley

- egg

- 1 tbsp salt

- Grated Parmesan cheese

2. Mix well until smooth and fully combined.

Step 4: Cook the Noodles

1. Boil lasagna noodles for 11 minutes.

2. Drain and set aside.

Step 5: Assemble

1. Spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.

2. Add a layer of noodles.

3. Spread ricotta mixture.

4. Add meat sauce.

5. Sprinkle mozzarella + Parmesan + sharp cheddar cheese.

6. Repeat layers (2–3 times).

7. Finish with cheese on top.

Step 6: Bake

1. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35 minutes

2. Let it rest for 10–15 minutes before cutting
