My babies
Survived the severe thunderstorms ⛈️
As a devoted plant mom, severe thunderstorms can be particularly stressful times for my beloved greens. I’ve learned through experience that preparing your plants ahead of storms is key to their survival. One important step is to move potted plants indoors or to a sheltered area where they’re protected from heavy rain and strong winds. For garden beds, I make sure the soil has good drainage to prevent root rot caused by excess water. Using stakes or supports for taller, more fragile plants can also prevent breakage. After the storm passes, I carefully check my plants for any damage or diseases, trimming broken leaves or stems to encourage healthy regrowth. Keeping a close eye on humidity and moisture levels afterward helps prevent fungal issues. This routine has helped my plants, my “babies,” not only survive but thrive despite harsh weather conditions. Every plant mom or dad faces challenges with weather, but with such precautions and care, our plants can stay strong and vibrant even after severe thunderstorms. Sharing these personal insights helps build a supportive community for plant enthusiasts who want to protect their leafy companions in any weather.
