Following up with a gentle sulfate-free shampoo carefully cleanses the scalp without stripping away essential moisture. Conditioning is equally vital—applying conditioner mainly to the mid-lengths and ends nourishes and detangles without weighing down the roots. For added hydration, I sometimes use a leave-in conditioner or hair oil after towel drying to keep hair smooth and manageable. Remember to avoid vigorously towel-drying hair to reduce breakage; instead, gently pat hair dry. Also, air drying whenever possible minimizes heat damage. Incorporating these post-shower practices into your routine can result in stronger, healthier hair that looks and feels great after your daily activities.
