It is really a good thing to invest in our skincare. It doesn't matter if the price is expensive or not, as long as it works in your skin. These are the products that are effective in my skin, for facial wash Cerave & Kiehl's; as combination skin type it's a must to find best facial wash that will make you less oily and for me these facial wash has a lot of benefits in our skin. I usually use these two products for double cleansing at night and the next step will be toner, for Glycolic acid I only use it once a day (at night) and Tomato is number one for me especially for acne marks while L'oreal is good for removing make up. Lastly, my go to serums would be Niacinamide and Aloe + NAG, this combo is perfect for dry skin and acne marks, I use this twice a day everyday. Best result for daily use.

My personal experience has taught me that a consistent routine built on mild, affordable products is key to healthy, happy skin. Let me share some expanded insights and tips based on my go-to regimen.
For any beginner, the foundation of good skincare is cleansing. I can't stress enough the importance of double cleansing, especially if you wear makeup or sunscreen daily. It's a game-changer! First, I use an oil-based cleanser or micellar water to break down makeup and impurities, followed by a gentle, hydrating facial wash. Products like CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser or Kiehl's Calendula Foaming Face Wash, which I've found to be excellent “Under $40 Budget” options, not only deep cleanse but also help banish dark spots, redness, and blemishes without stripping the skin. They are perfect as a cheap facial cleanser option and contribute significantly to overall skin clarity.
After cleansing, toning is the next crucial step. Many beginners skip this, but it can make a real difference. For combination skin like mine, or if you're dealing with acne marks or uneven texture, a mild exfoliating toner can be incredibly beneficial. I rely on Glycolic Acid 7% once a day at night to balance uneven skintone and correct texture over time. For daytime or when my skin needs extra soothing, a natural toner like Tomato, which helps deep clean and tighten the pores, is amazing for addressing post-acne marks. Remember, for beginners, it’s best to introduce exfoliating acids slowly to see how your skin reacts.
Finally, serums are where you can target specific concerns, even on a budget. My favorite combination, Niacinamide and Aloe + NAG, has been a miracle for my combination skin. Niacinamide is fantastic for minimizing enlarged pores, reducing redness, and supporting the skin barrier. Paired with Aloe + NAG, which is known to improve skin tone and help with post acne marks reduction, it’s a powerful duo. These ingredients are available in affordable formulations from brands like The Ordinary, making them accessible to those looking for a moisturizer for dry skin budget friendly options or even affordable skincare for oily skin, as Niacinamide helps regulate oil. For teens with dry skin, a gentle hydrating serum followed by a lightweight moisturizer can prevent breakouts and flakiness.
Building an effective skincare routine doesn't mean emptying your wallet. By focusing on mild skincare products that target your specific concerns, whether it's acne tips, managing oily skin in summer, or finding best skincare for all skin types, you can achieve great results. My routine is proof that you can find affordable cleansers and powerful serums that work wonders, improving skin tone and texture without harsh chemicals. Always listen to your skin, patch test new products, and stay consistent!
