Hot Honey Cauliflower
These were SO incredibly delicious! Probably my new favorite way to make cauliflower, hands down!
Measurements really depend on how much you’re making, I made enough for a single serving. So, yours may look different if you’re cooking for more than just yourself. But here is everything I used:
for the Sauce:
Franks Red Hot
Honey
Red Pepper Flakes
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Brown Sugar
Black Pepper
Splash of Apple Cider vinegar
Cornstarch slurry
I combined roughly equal parts hot sauce and honey on low in a sauce pan. I eyeballed the seasonings to my liking basically. The brown sugar is about a tsp, or more depending on ur taste or amount you’re making.
Once it is combined and to your liking, you’ll add your cornstarch slurry. This will thicken it up so it becomes a sauce that will coat your cauliflower and not run right off of it. I make my slurry using a tsp or two of cold water, and a teaspoon of cornstarch. Mix it together thoroughly and pour it into your sauce. Turn the heat up slightly so it will begin to slowly bubble and thicken. If it isn’t to the desired thickness, make more slurry. BUT GO A LITTLE AT A TIME lol and be patient because if not you’ll end up with putty.
For the cauliflower:
Chicken bouillon
Hardins seasoning
Orange Pepper
Garlic Powder
Parsley
Flour
Cornstarch
I quickly blanched my cauliflower in boiling water for about a minute or two and then strained. I ran cold water over them to stop the cooking process and then let them dry. I seasoned them with chicken bouillon, Hardins, orange pepper and parsley. I did not use much of the bouillon or Hardins because of the sodium. This was a very light sprinkle.
Next, I sprinkled them with equal parts flour and cornstarch and then mixed them around. (For the amount shown in the picture, I used roughly a tablespoon of each) This should make a kind of wet, sticky coating. They don’t need to be coated entirely. We just want enough for a little crunch.
I placed them into a medium high pan with a drizzle of olive oil and cooked them on all sides until dark golden brown. Once they were ready, I tossed them in the sauce and WOW. I could not stop eating them!!!
You have to try this!! It is so addicting! Hope you enjoy 🔥🔥#hothoney #cauliflower #meatlessmeals #healthylifestyle #DELICIOUS #easymeals #quickrecipes #crowdpleaser #Lemon8Diary #shareyourthoughts
