It's important to check labels for sugar content—many bars now come with zero added sugar, making them perfect for blood sugar control after surgery. I also recommend including ready-to-eat wild-caught tuna pouches that offer 15 grams of protein with minimal calories. Greek yogurts that contain probiotics can aid digestion and add natural flavor without extra sugar.
