Getting back to myself 🧚🏽‍♀️

Lately I have been so busy! With getting my daughter prepared for Kindergarten, starting a new job, and preparing to move in the fall. I haven’t been taking care of myself the way I know how to.

I was recently reminded that I need to take care of myself the way I take care of my daughter. So as of lately I started taking time to do the things I enjoy like self care routines (me and my daughter now do it together) and going out and living life! I will say I am feeling much better! Feeling happier and more relaxed.

It’s super important to make time for yourself apart from your kids. Remember who you are as an individual or find out who you are, go out take some pictures or try something you’ve never done before! There’s nothing wrong with change! You’ll thank yourself later. #being a mom🤱🏽 #Lemon8Diary #selfcare #LoveYourself

... Read moreIn today's fast-paced world, especially for parents, self-care often takes a backseat. It's vital to recognize that nurturing oneself is just as important as caring for others. Engaging in self-care activities not only facilitates personal happiness but also enhances your ability to be present for your children. Taking part in self-care routines, such as spa days at home, mindfulness practices, or simply enjoying a hobby, can provide rejuvenation and a sense of identity. For parents, incorporating children into self-care can be especially rewarding. Activities like creative arts, cooking, or outdoor adventures allow for both fun and bonding time. Don't forget the power of setting boundaries. Allocating specific times for yourself can drive both productivity and fulfillment, thereby allowing parents to model healthy habits for their children. Remember, embracing change is an essential part of personal growth—be open to new experiences and opportunities for learning. Ultimately, self-care is a journey, not a destination. Prioritize yourself and explore new avenues that resonate with your personality. By doing so, you’ll cultivate a greater sense of well-being and satisfaction in life, enriching not just your own experience but that of your family as well.
