The Dutch Baby pancake, a classic German dish, is known for its light and airy texture. Originating in the early 20th century, this oven-baked pancake is typically served with a dusting of powdered sugar, fresh fruits, or just a drizzle of syrup. It's versatile and can be customized with various toppings based on personal preference. When preparing a Dutch Baby, using a cast iron skillet is often recommended, as it helps achieve that crispy edge while maintaining a fluffy center. If you're looking for alternatives, ensure they're oven-safe. This recipe leans towards simple yet satisfying ingredients, ensuring you can whip it up quickly on a busy morning. For a twist, consider adding spices like nutmeg or flavoring the batter with citrus zest. This dish is not only quick to make but also provides a delicious way to start the day, impressing friends and family alike. Enjoy it fresh from the oven for a breakfast that truly stands out!
