Being their mom is my greatest gift. 🥹
They are only little for such a short season… but they’ll be adults for most of their lives.
One day, they won’t ask to lay on my chest.
One day, they won’t need me to fall asleep.
One day, they won’t reach for my hand the same way.
And I refuse to rush this part.
I will never turn away a cuddle.
I will never be “too busy” for one more hug.
I will never push their independence before they’re ready.
Because time does not slow down.
Time is a thief. And it’s the one thing we can never get back.
So I soak it in. Every nap. Every snuggle. Every “mommy.”
Parents… don’t rush it.
One day we’re going to miss this more than we can imagine. 💔🙏🏼
As a parent, I've come to realize just how quickly children grow and change. The moments they cling to us for comfort—those naps on our chest, their tiny hands seeking ours—are truly fleeting. I've found that resisting the urge to rush their independence allows both them and me to savor a deeper connection. One day, my children won’t ask for cuddles or bedtime snuggles, and those ordinary moments will become extraordinary memories I cherish deeply. It’s easy to get caught up in daily tasks, but making time for one more hug or staying present during their sleepy whispers helps me feel grounded and grateful. Time truly is a thief, stealing away the days when they are little, but slowing down to hold them close is a gift I give to both of us. Embracing these tender interactions enhances not only their sense of security but also strengthens our bond, creating a foundation of love they carry with them into adulthood. To all parents feeling the rush to nurture independence, I remind you: it’s okay to pause and hold on a little longer. Those snuggles, the whispered "mommy" moments, are irreplaceable and worth every second. Later, when they grow up and live their lives, these memories will be treasures both you and they will hold in your hearts forever.
