Three Books I Read This Week 📙

👗 Fallen Women by Sandra Dallas

Love the well researched historical Denver and it’s seedier side including drug dens and brothels. But I didn’t love the murder mystery element, as I guessed the solution within the first 50 pages. So I didn’t buy into the half dozen red herrings thrown in along the way. And a lot of the main character’s main choices and conclusions had me rolling my eyes.

The Giver meets Lost meets Agatha Christie. I was destined to love this.

🦪 This Summer Will Be Different by Carley Fortune

Adored our couple who on fire chemistry and loved their friends and the other side characters. And Carley Fortune’s banter is top notch. But there isn’t a ton of story in this story and the format makes it repetitive. After a while I was ready to wrap things up and move on.
