Korean Dumpling Soup in 15 minutes🥟🥟🥟

Dumplings are one of my favorite foods and more so during Lunar New Year!🥟🧧They symbolize wealth, good fortune, and togetherness💛

Here is one of my quick and tasty recipe for Mandu Guk that comes together in under 15 minutes!😋😋

✎Ingredients:

*Pre-packed beef bone broth with meat

*2 tbsp garlic (minced)

*3 stalks green onions

*rice cakes (soak in water for 20 mins) as much as you want to eat

*1 pack dumplings (I used their pork & shiitake mushroom)

*2 eggs

*1 cup water

*sesame oil

*1-2 tbsp fish sauce

*black pepper to taste

*seaweed for garnish

Directions:

1. Saute garlic and whites of green onions in sesame oil for 2-3 mins

2. Add pre-packed beef bone broth and 1 cup water, let that come to a boil

3. Separate egg whites and yolk and whisk. In a pan, cook the egg whites and yolk separately to create egg ribbons for garnish and set aside

4. Once the broth comes to a boil, add rice cakes and dumplings and let that cook for 5-7 mins

5. Skim any foam out (this is normal for pre-packed broths)

6. Season with fish sauce and black pepper

7. Garnish with tons of green onions, egg ribbons, and seaweed

Those delicate egg ribbons aren't just for show! They add a lovely texture and a subtle richness that complements the savory broth perfectly. I used to skip separating the whites and yolks, but trust me, taking that extra minute to cook them separately makes them so much prettier and easier to slice thinly. It really elevates the visual appeal of your soup – making every close-up photo look amazing! And let's not forget the power of fresh green onions and crispy seaweed. I like to add a generous sprinkle right before serving. The vibrant green against the rich broth and the pop of color from the egg ribbons just makes the whole dish sing.
