Homemade Brown Butter Syrup. Ingredients:

1 stick of butter

1 cup of brown sugar

1 cup of water

Let it cool

Add 1tsp of vanilla extract

& a pinch of salt.

Instructions:

1. Brown the butter:

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

Keep cooking until it foams, the bubbles go down, and it smells nutty + turns golden brown. (About 3-5 mins.) Don't burn it!

2. Add sugar + water:

Add brown sugar and water carefully (it may bubble).

Whisk until the sugar dissolves.

3. Simmer:

Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.

4. Finish:

Remove from heat.

Stir in vanilla + salt.

5. Store:

Let cool, then store in a jar.
