A little life update. 🦋✨
I’m no longer a full-time corporate employee.
I went back and forth on whether I wanted to share this because I had a lot of mixed emotions about it. When I lost my job, I felt like I had failed. I felt embarrassed, and honestly, I carried a lot of shame for a while.
But lately, I’ve started to see things a little differently.
I really do think this might have been a blessing in disguise. I still have no idea what this next chapter is going to look like, and for the first time in a while, I’m actually excited to see what’s next. 🤭
If you’re in a season that looks different than you expected, I hope you find a little comfort here. 🫶🏻🌻
Losing a job can be one of the most challenging experiences in life, often accompanied by a whirlwind of emotions including failure, embarrassment, and shame. I’ve been there myself and understand how deeply it can impact your self-esteem and outlook on the future. However, with time and reflection, it is possible to reframe this experience as a pivotal turning point rather than an end. When I first lost my corporate job, I felt lost and unsure of what was next. The uncertainty was overwhelming, yet it forced me to slow down and reevaluate what truly mattered. I realized that life's unexpected twists could actually pave the way for personal growth and new opportunities I had not considered before. This perspective shift was a blessing in disguise, allowing me to approach my future with excitement rather than fear. Starting over is rarely easy, especially when it happens later in life or during a period when you expected stability. Yet, this phase can be an invitation to explore passions, develop new skills, or even redefine your career path entirely. Many people find joy and fulfillment in pursuits like creative projects, entrepreneurship, or roles that better align with their personal values, such as becoming a stay-at-home mom (#sahm). Additionally, healing from the emotional impact of job loss is just as important as planning the next steps professionally. Engaging in a healing journey (#healingjourney) through support groups, mindfulness, or therapy can provide the strength necessary to move forward with confidence and resilience. If you are currently in a season of change, know that you are not alone. Take comfort in sharing your story and connecting with others who understand. Embrace the new chapter with an open heart, and remember, sometimes what feels like an ending is just the beginning of something wonderful.
