... Read moreOn Day 8 of our Doughlene starter journey, we observed significant growth after feeding. To maintain a robust starter, remember to discard all but 1/2 cup of the starter before feeding. Next, add 1 & 1/4 cups of flour and 2/3 cups of warm water. Mix thoroughly and cover. Leave it for another 12 hours, and you should notice it thickening nicely. Regularly checking on your starter ensures it's healthy and bubbly, which is critical for successful sourdough baking. Adjust feeding schedules based on temperature and activity; warmer environments may require more frequent feedings.
