When introducing yogurt as a first allergen around 6 to 7 months, it is important to observe your baby closely for any signs of intolerance or allergy, even if your family has no history of dairy issues. Yogurt can be a gentle way to provide beneficial probiotics and calcium, which supports healthy development. Teething can be a challenging phase for both babies and parents. Soft, cool foods like yogurt or chilled fruit purees can help soothe inflamed gums. You might also want to try teething rings that can be refrigerated for extra relief. If your baby is starting to develop more teeth, small pieces of soft fruits or vegetables that they can gum or chew on safely may be helpful. In my personal experience, maintaining a variety in textures helps the baby adapt easily, and patience is key as every baby reacts differently to new foods and teething discomfort. Keep an eye out for any reactions after introducing allergens like yogurt, and consult your pediatrician if you notice unusual symptoms. Additionally, ensuring mealtime is a calm and positive experience encourages good eating habits. Sharing stories and tips with other parents, like those on platforms such as TikTok and baby-led weaning forums, can offer valuable support through this exciting developmental stage.
