I Used To Think I Just Wasn’t Built For This ⚡️

Honestly, I used to think confident people were just built differently.

Like somewhere along the way they got handed something I didn’t. Some natural ability to walk into a room, talk to anyone, hold their ground without overthinking every word.

I genuinely believed I just wasn’t that type of person.

Took me a while to figure out that was completely wrong.

Confidence isn’t something you have before you start. It’s something you pick up along the way.

From all the moments you showed up even when you didn’t feel ready, from conversations that felt awkward, from situations you had no business being in yet.

Switching careers forced a lot of that. You can’t hide behind a lab bench when your job is literally talking to people every day.

Still figuring things out. Still have moments where I second-guess myself.

But I’m definitely not the same guy I was a year ago.

That part I’m sure of.

Just focusing on becoming better step by step.

... Read moreWhen I first started on my journey toward more confidence, I too believed it was something only certain people were naturally endowed with. But over time, I realized confidence is less about innate traits and more about consistent practice and willingness to face discomfort. One strategy that truly helped me was reframing my mindset about awkwardness and mistakes. Instead of fearing them, I started to view those moments as essential opportunities for growth. For example, walking into a room full of strangers no longer felt like an ordeal to survive but a chance to learn social skills bit by bit. Switching careers added another layer of challenge that accelerated my confidence growth. Moving from a behind-the-scenes role into one that demanded daily interaction forced me to confront my insecurities head-on. I learned that it's okay not to have all the answers immediately and that even seasoned professionals face uncertainty. Another useful approach was setting small, manageable goals that pushed me slightly outside my comfort zone regularly. Whether that was initiating short conversations or volunteering for a presentation, each step contributed to building a more resilient mindset. It’s important to remember that confidence isn’t a destination but an evolving journey. There are still days when self-doubt creeps in, but now I have the tools to keep moving forward. Celebrating incremental progress, practicing self-compassion, and staying committed to growth are key elements anyone can adopt. If you find yourself stuck, remember that showing up—even imperfectly—lays the groundwork for future success. Confidence grows through experience, so embrace every awkward moment and continue taking steps to improve. Your personal growth journey is unique, and every effort counts towards becoming a stronger, more confident version of yourself.

Did I keep to my 20K BTO Reno Budget?
Did I keep to my 20K BTO reno budget? No. My original reno-only target was $20,000, but my actual reno-only spend came up to $23,200 — and that excludes lighting, fixtures, furniture, and decor. What pushed the budget up wasn’t styling. It was the actual renovation work: * carpentry *

People often assume divorce begins when someone leaves. Mine didn’t. Mine began with a growing feeling that something was changing, even though I couldn’t explain what it was. There was no dramatic event at first. No confession. No announcement. Just small moments that felt differ
